IntelliList - Shopping List App Reviews

Aisle sorting is useless

Do your developers really think that the aisles are the same in every store? Shopping by aisle in a store is the only real time saving process for a large list without bouncing back and forth throughout a large store like a Walmart super center. I cant understand why none of the shopper apps cant grasp that very simple principle except for Grocery Gadget which unfortunately is imploding. I really like your app but Im simply not going to make an entirely new list of items complete with aisle and prices for every store I shop at. I may buy 4"x1/2" threaded bolts from Walmart Super Center, Ace Hardware, Home Depot or Lowes depending on other shopping factors. I should only have to list that item one time in a master list and then be able to say how much and where the item is in each of those stores without creating 5 different items to help me not wonder around the store looking for something because I forgot its location in that particular store. What Im asking for is not that difficult because Grocery Gadget has it now and I have seen many reviews basically asking for the same feature. I hope you will pass it on and maybe we will see it in a future update. Ill watch your updates hopefully and until then Ill reluctantly use Grocery Gadget as my primary shopping app even if they do irritate their customers. Update: I added a star to my rather critical review after having an interesting and lengthy conversation with their support rep who did a great job defending Itellilist (even if he did get a little testy:)). I stand by my evaluation; however, I will definitely keep this app and wait until they figure out how important aisle/store integrity is to a shopping app then jump in with both feet. Any outfit that takes the time to debate feature with me gets my support.

Love this app!!!

I was really nervous about switching from Grocery Gadget. I have years of data in there but recent updates are not taking the app in a good direction... Thats how I found IntelliList - and Im really glad I did. It feels very similar to when I switched from PC to MAC LOL! Very intuitive, flexible and fast interface. The DropBox syncing is a breeze. And it has all of the cool cost features like being able to set different prices at different stores. I love that I can easily move an item to a new list and the community populated database is awesome :) Well done guys! The only thing missing is the ability to add sales tax to taxable items.

Highly recommend

After trying many shopping list apps, both free and paid, I have finally found one that checks all the boxes! Lists are very customizable and can be printed

Idiotic unit price comparison

How it should work: Enter the total price of an item Enter the units you are buying (ie number of ounces) Save Price / Unit for comparison How it works: Enter the unit price you calculate separately in a different app Save the unit price

Pretty good but has a couple flaws.

App is pretty nice but price entry is slow and a bit unintuitive. The price / quantity report should be entered together as one price listing. You should be able to compare different size packages on the same screen without creating new items. Ex: Compare 10 oz coffee beans to 16 oz coffee beans on the same screen. That way you know what what size from what store is the better value.

Cool app!

I love being able to compare different prices at different stores. Really cool app. Easy to use after you get used to it

Awesome!!

Worth the upgrade!!

Awesome App

Makes creating a grocery list quick and easy. Great totaling feature, so you can gauge what youre gonna spend (before you even leave the house). Best few bucks Ive spent in a while!

Saved me!

So my wife and I have made an attempt to budget. We have bills down no problem. It was always the groceries that killed us! Going over budget by $20-$40 dollars every time was too easy and happened often. You go in saying one dollar amount and leave spending another. THIS APP WORKED. It was off by $3 dollars instead of $30 that were usually off by. THANKS, SAVED OUR BUDGET. WORTH THE MONEY TO BUY.
